Need

Mark your calendar for October 17, 18, 19, 2010, and, after you've
done that, read on!

Every October York Rite Masons from Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah gather to confer the Degrees and Orders upon worthy Candidates, as a courtesy to their home Bodies.
In 2003 , the Degrees of the Royal Arch Chapter were conferred by the Grand Chapter of Massachusetts Degree Team - we hope to have them back with us in the near future, because they do some EXCELLENT Degree work! They have a great website - click here to visit them!
In our eighteen year history we have had the honor of conferring the Degrees and Orders of York Rite Masonry on 1000 plus Candidates from twelve jurisdictions, from both North and South America.
Attending the conferral of the Degrees is the "Masonic Motivation", but the Colorado River Fall Festival is really about camaraderie, fraternalism, education and cooperation. You'll see some of the finest ritual work in the Southwest - we have been used by smaller Bodies as a model for their work. In addition to the conferrals on Monday and Tuesday, there will be Candidate Orientation Sunday evening, conferral of the "Super Excellent Master Degree" on Monday evening, and a Grand Banquet on Tuesday evening - the "Royal Arch Widow's Degree" for the women will return in 2011.
There will also be a "friendship tea" for the ladies, with pastries, beverages, friendship and hospitality at 11:30 AM on Monday.
We will have a "Fellowship Banquet" on Tuesday evening - no long speeches, no lengthy introductions - just a time for good food and good fellowship - Tuesday evening, after all the Degrees and Orders are done and you've had a chance to relax for a bit.
Be sure to bring your lady - she will have the opportunity to make new friends, visit fun and interesting locales, do some shopping, take in a movie or two, eat a fine meal at a very reasonable price, and you both can enjoy some "Nevada Style Entertainment"!

Laughlin, Nevada is located on the banks of the Colorado River, a few miles north of the point where the Nevada, California and Arizona borders meet - about 90 miles south of Las Vegas.
We are a family event with something for everyone. There are tours available from various area companies including a riverboat tour, shopping in the hotel, as well as a first-run multi-screen movie theater and a modern bowling alley.
Of course there is also 'Nevada Style Entertainment', and there is an outlet center a short walk down the block - in addition to the shops and facilities available in other hotels, which are easily accessed via "The Riverwalk", or by water or land taxi service.

LOCAL TIME
Unlike some years past, this year's Colorado River Fall Festival occurs before the time change, so all times shown are Pacific Daylight Time, which is the same as California and Arizona - no juggling your wristwatch this year!
We have a tight schedule and you need to be aware that there are long lines, so please give yourself plenty of time, and please give way to the Candidates -- they're on a tighter schedule than you are.
