Colorado River Fall
Festival 2012
"Frequently
Asked Questions"
Housing:
Q: I am only staying Monday night....what is the rate for one night?
A: Rates are based on 3 nights - most take Sunday / Monday / Tuesday but you
can register for 3 or 4 nights beginning Saturday.
Q: My friend and his Wife are also going...can we get rooms close together?
A: Yes. You must mark specifics on your registration form and get it in by Sept
15.
Q: Are Handicap rooms available?
A: Yes, but you must register early as they are limited - we suggest by September
15. Other special rooms:
Pet or East Wing: September 1
King bed: September 15
River view room: September 15
Smoking room: September 15
Saturday: September 15
Multiple combinations of the above: September 1
Candidates:
Q: What do I need to do
in order to receive the Degrees and Orders?
A: 1) You must have been elected to receive the Degrees & Orders by
a recognized Council, Chapter and Commandry, AND
2) Your Secretary/Recorder must forward a completed
"Request to Confer Courtesy Work" to Candidate Registrar David Stankow
in Mesa, Arizona no later then October 1, 2011 AND
3) You must forward a completed "General Registration"
to the Housing Chairman in Kingman, AZ no later than October 1, 2012
Q: Can I bring
the "Request" and/or "Registration" to the Festival with
me?
A: No. Both must be mailed to the respective addresses October 1, 2012. No Candidate
will be allowed to participate unless pre-registered.
Q: I will only be receiving the Commandery Orders (or Degrees in the other
two bodies). Will I be able to have them conferred upon me at the Festival?
A: Yes. The "Request" will specify which Degrees and/or Orders you
are to receive.
Q: I have a different Secretary/Recorder for each body to which I have been
elected. Who sends the "Request"?
A: Each Secretary or Recorder may individually send one in, or if they are in
concert they may send just one "Request" with the information for
each body.
Secretary/Recorders:
Q: I'm sending three Candidates to the Festival. Must I fill out a "Request"
form for each?
A: Yes. Each Candidate individually must have a "Request" on file.
Q: May I bring a last minute Candidate to the Festival and give you the
"Request" there?
A: No. All Candidates must have a "Request" on file no later then
October 1, 2012.
Participants/Non-Participants/Observers:
Q: Should I register for the festival even though I'm not staying
at the Riverside Hotel?
A: Yes, you must register for the festival if you desire to enter the
Lodge Room.
Q. Does my wife need to register also?
A. No - only those who want to enter the Lodge room for the Degrees and Orders
need register for the festival.
Q: I want to bring some friends. They are not Masons and will not participate.
Can they take advantage of the "CRFF Package" room rates?
A: Certainly! They should check "Non-Participant" on the "General
Registration" form. They may also attend the Banquet. And, as in the question
above, they do not need to "register" for the Festival.
Q. Do I need to fill out a "Request for Courtesy Work" form if
I am just "attending" the Festival?
A. No. All Degrees and Orders are open to those entitled to see them. You must,
however, register for the festival - see the next question.
Q. If I am going to "just be a Sideliner", which
form(s) do I need to submit?
A. "Sideliners" must fill out and submit a "General Registration
Form", and submit it, with appropriate remittances, to the Housing Chairman
at the Kingman, AZ address on that form, no later than October 1.
Note that this form must be filled out in full, even if you are not staying
with us at the Riverside Hotel - there is a block in housing for "No Room"
- and you are not obligated to attend the banquet - so if you are going to be
providing your own housing and not attending the banquet, you still need to
submit a form for credentials only and remit $15.00. You must have credentials
to enter the Lodge room.
Where
would YOU like to go from here?
